Does anyone use a slant load horse trailer to haul show cattle in. We are currently looking at a new living quarters trailer but it will be used to haul kids to the rodeo and also the cow shows. The trailer will be 8ft wide with mangers. Thanks

Hi I have carted show cattle in angle load horse float fine, they travel really well.

Load as far forward as possible. I recently hauled some for friends in their
3 horse slant that were not and had issues with trailer fishtailing
behind the truck. Had to slow down to prevent.

Horses will haul better in a stock trailer than cattle in a slant load horse trailer. Get a lq with a stock compartment in the back instead of a slant load with dividers. The cattle will have more room and be more comfortable. You lose a lot of space with the mangers and the rear tack, plus it will be easier to haul them loose or stuff that isn't broke. The horses would have more room as well.
