so if you had raised some heifers and you thought a couple were pretty good...

and you had never clipped and didn't own any clipping equipment....

and every time you went out to take a picture the calves wouldn't cooperate... stand crooked and look stupid

would it make sense to try to hire someone to come clip them a little... take some decent pics and maybe even help market them a little?...

if so would anyone be willing to do so... if so what would be a reasonable expectation?

Hell I'd just about pay for it just to see what they look like "cleaned up"

where are you? Even a crappy clip job changes a feedlot calf into a show calf. Heads tails and dart hairs do some amazing things. Unless you are in a shack in the mountains there are 4H kids near you that think they are the next bob may with a set of sheepheads. Put a post on the classifieds with an address and offer $30 per head and if there is any kid close I bet you get a call.

Yep, lots of good fitters around and the investment will pay dividends.  I know it is hard to do it yourself, not ever enough time.

If your calves are good enough, there is usually a trader that will take them and get them ready for a sale on a % bases.

If they were broke it would be fairly easy to get pics. And if you plan on selling them as show calves I would definitely pay somebody to halter break them.
