If you go back a lot of Charles Darwins material was based on fiction. Pure simple fiction that many believed and it is now become what it is today, driven by a lot of false propaganda. The Bible has remained the same over many thousands of years, and one would tend to think that if nothing has changed in its story and most things have come true that there is a reason. Could be I find this hard to be coincidence, but I believe in it fully.
Evolution really has no theory due to the fact that it is based on one mans opinion of something he never saw.
The Bible was written by those who saw these things happen and predicted future events which have all come to be. Again, its hard to argue with facts versus fiction fueled by propaganda.

I was raised in the church and following its teachings.

BUT, Darwins theories on natural selection are still used today. He did actual research in both the Galápagos Islands and Australia . Both isolated islands had creatures that were unlike any in the world. There is more to evolution than just the creation of man.

How can you say that Evoultion has no foundation at all. Google Charles Darwin and then tell me how it doesnt. I am not saying that the bible is not right becuase I believe 100% that we are from Adam and Eve, but I do think that there is a lot of examples to back up the theory of evoultion.

But no proof; only theory.

Let's say a cat mates a cat; how often does this mating produce something other than a cat?  All of God's creation is constantly changing, and if we focus on mammals, we can call these changes (hair color, eye or skin color, etc) genetic mistakes.  Each mating produces it's own mistakes, but a cat remains a cat, a dog, a dog, and so on.

Study those first eight chapters (I don't mean just read them).  Research each verse and you will understand that from the beginning of time, nothing has ever become something else

probably a more interesting person than darwin was wallace.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallace_Line
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Russel_Wallace

some think the line goes between java and sumatra.  and krakatoa is west of java, not east.

darwin studied finches and developed a theory of how they evolved to harvest different size seeds.

anyone slog through origin of the species?

wallace's line basically motivated darwin to publish early and took too much credit for the theory of evolution.

if you look on either side of wallace's line, you will see different flora and fauna as those land masses have been converging on tectonic plates, only accepted as fact in the late 60's.

it's my theory that oil comes from friction of tectonic plates and other sources of friction and pressure rather than dinosaurs.

If I'm not mistaken KNABE is a teach. Their are several others on here that are teachers. You never know one of them might be the teacher you are talking about.

If you breed a cat to a cat you get a cat. If you breed a horned herford to a horned herford and you get a polled herford this is a mutation in which the cattle evolved. Wouldn't natural selection allow mutations of species like the cat to undergo the surviival of the fittest type deal? It depends on how old you think the earth is. If you think the world is 6,000 years old there isn't enough time for species to evolve. If you think the world is 4.5 billion years old I could see how species could evolve over 10,000 years time. I think god created man but dang I don't see how you can down play species evolving unless you think the earth is 6,000 years old. Modern dog is supposedly out of the wolves line. What happens when you breed a weinie dog to a great white pyrenees? Do you get a dog? What about the polled buffalo? Know one can answer my question about that? ;D

Seriously....isn't most of the biblical scholars head butting the evolution theory mainly based on how old the world is. Darwin was wrong on several things but he was asking the right questions.

I am somewhat amused how this topic has "evolved".  Or have the replies been humanly manipulated?

I've probably chimed in on this too many times in the past, but Christianity and evolution are not mutually exclusive unless either side is just trying to be ornery.  One side describes who, the othwer side describes how.
