We had an awesome county fair. This was my daughters first year and she worked really hard! She did a steer and a heifer. She showed like a champ. I will try to post some pics.

She is a cutie!  For me the best times have been watching my girls showing and growing each year.  You should be proud!

Our six year old showed this year for the first time too and she loved it!

They'd win showmanship anyday against the big kids in my neck of the woods!!  They are serious that is for sure!

rightfully so, you should be very proud of her. Its not easy keeping the heads up on such big animals for a small girl. every pic, she is doing a great job at it. you  can also tell that she is really in to the moment and always aware of whats going on. I think you have a champ showman in the making here. congrats!! (clapping)

having a daughter that also shows i know how proud you are,and for very good reason. and by the way she presents the calves and herself you can tell many hours of hard work were involved as well.congrats to you both!btw the pic of her looking over the calf or at least trying to is my favorite!

Thanks for all the great comments, I just couldnt wait to share. And now I cant wait to share all this with her.

This really is a great project to do with your kids. We spent a lot of time together doing this that I am not sure we would have otherwise.

Savaged thats awesome your daughter is getting a young start, she sure is doing good for so young. My daughter just turned 9 not long ago. My son is 5 but I am fairly certain he's not ready. He's not quite as focused as his sister. They are a blast though.
