Pushing and Holding Steers

I have two steers very close in weight for our county fair. My goal is to have them in separate weight classes, so i can be the showmen of both. I do not know exact weight but i will tomorrow. The weigh date is three days from tomorrow morning . What are the best (and safest) ways to push one and hold the other.

Let one eat all he wants and drink all he wants.  The other one, you need to hold him off water and reduce feed a couple of days before weigh in.  If you can find the post vc wrote about pulling weight off a steer, that is the way to do it to pull up to 80 pounds off.  You could get them 100 pounds apart with the time you have.
