It means that animal is free of the genetic defect tibia hemimelia (refereed to as th). Depends on the owner I suppose I it is a good or bad things. Most people think it's a good thing, especially in breeding stock, so that it doesn't get passed on to their offspring. Some people like th carrier bulls to breed for terminal animals. That's my $0.02 worth

typically TH is only used by people in the show segment as it can generate more hair and a postier appearance.
it is not used generally by anyone else and to be avoided like the plague.

Very good read to someone just learning/ starting out. Generally you want females that are clean. That way if you are looking to breed for show steers you don't have to worry about it as most club calf sires are th carriers.
