I was wondering if they make a brush or something to clean there hoofs or if it madders what you use like a scrub brush or a washcloth.and is there a shampoo that i need to use. i have just been using baby shampoo to wash him.
you can pretty much use any brush that works on their feet. and as for soap we usually just use a cheap dish soap or cheap human sampoo. but if you use dish soap make sure you condition his hair.
Personally I like the dollar store of 10 for 10 at krogers for my shampoo. As far as conditioner, same applies but I usally mix the conditioner up in a bucket with some water then dump it over them. Id save ur vinegar and kleen sheen for after u blow him out and are working hair. JMO
yes i agree. save the vinegar and klean sheen for after hes dry. use a regular conditioner after you wash. and what do you mean hes hard to work with. the more you work with him the better hell get. when you realize hes started to act up while you do certain things do those things over and over and hell realized hes not going to win. just make sure you dont put yourself in danger!
i am home schooled so i get to work with him for 3 to 4 hours a day but he is a kicker and i have been trying to get him to stop by doing the things he kicks at but it just doesn't seem to help
In the summer we use mane n tail conditioner, vinegar, and a little undiluted fly spray mixed with water in a bucket and dump it over them. Then we use a massage brush, go down first then go forward, after that blow him dry.
how long has he been kicking. the biggest thing is not showing fear. if they know you are scared they wont stop. and it may sound dumb but if you stand really close to him he cant kick you unless he pulls away then kicks. but continue doing what he doesnt seem to like. constantly touch his legs. if you are using a metal comb on his legs and he kicks at that try a plastic one.
