OK who do you think I should breed her to?? She is a Gelvie x Limousin. She has a frame score of about 7 and she is 21 months old.  She isnt great by any means, but she got RC at our county fair, so i think if i breed her to a clubbie bull, We could get another county calf :'( well i dont know but , we'll see, if it doesnt turn out it, can go into our feed yard :'(

I'd try Northern improvement or if you have any semen already then Ali. Also maybe Hard Core. I think red had some Hard Cores so you can ask her about weights. the hard cores I have seen are nice calves and would probably get you a nice county calf. Just remember get the first one here alive and then worry about a show calf. If the first calf is show worthy then that is icing on the cake.

Someone is going to ask this so it might as well be me. Shouldn't she be ready to have her first calf about now, if so what is she having. Since you know Greg I would try Double Date or Killer Instinct. I don't know if you can still get semen or not but my all time favorite MCF bull is Cannon. I don't know if he would make her anymore powerfull but he would sure clean her up. To me she needs more power and also cleaned up through her front end and there aren't many bulls that can do both. My judging coach always said you can't drive a mack truck with a V6 engine.

There are three kinds of people in life: those who can count and those who can't.

Yes she should of already had her first calf, but we never got around to getting her bred :'(  she had 2 silent heats the time we wanted breed her, and then another came around and we were all out of town, so we missed three heats on her so if we had got her bred she would have been calving at the wrong time so we waited.
