I thought they over reacted about this. I say be careful all the time. Guess city folk don't speak friendly chat.

From American Idol
Looks like 'Idol' got a little lost in translation.

During the Louisville auditions, the show introduced Mark Mudd, who looked like a 'Deliverance' extra and claimed to have "almost died" five times. He also claimed to be a descendent of Dr. Samuel Mudd, who was convicted of helping John Wilkes Booth (the doc had treated his broken leg after Booth assassinated Lincoln).

Anyway, after being rejected decidedly by the judges, Mark Mudd departed with the phrase "be careful," which Paula Abdul took as a threat.

But now the show has issued an apology for misinterpreting a "regional greeting."

I saw that too and thought Paula & Simon way overreacted.    DH says that all the time when he's telling some good bye.

Inserting a shameless plea/advertisement!!    Jessica Furney is from my hometown and she is the real deal!  She's a nice kid from a nice family.  She deserves to go the whole way!  All I know at this point is that she's going to Hollywood.

one of our cattle buddies here tried out in Louisville. He made to the 3rd level. The next is singing in front of the judges.

sweet, I don't watch a lot of tv, but I find the tryout episodes very entertaining
