Okay guys, I'm brand new into the world of breeding beef so bear with me! :)
New rules for the California Junior Livestock Association state that all heifers must be registered in order to earn points at the shows. I have a heifer that I am planning on bidding on in a sale this weekend who is a charloais cross of some kind. Her sire is Monopoly and her Dam is out of Escapade. According to CJLA she just either be registered as a Purebred Charloais, Percentage Charloais, or Composite. Seeing how she is obviously not purebred I was wondering what would qualify her to be registered as Percentage or Composite.
All advice is appreciated. Thank you !!!!

Yes she can be registered Chi.....but not at enough percentage to compete at majors or national shows. They have to be 6.25% or higher. Monopoly is only 6.38 so her Chi percentage would be 3.19%. She will have papers though.

This is true, but unless your state shows have a different rule, the ACA's 6.25% rule only affects Louisville, Fort Worth (the only national open shows) and the junior nationals.

I guess she could also be registered as composite charloais seeing as her dam is a pure bred. I wasn't aware that Chi was an option as well so thank you for that! :)
