Just wondering if there is any difference?  Many times the products are the same just priced higher for horses.  Just wanted to know if I could use the paste Safeguard I have for the cattle on my horses and vice versa?

they are the exact same product.  At the vet clinic where I worked we used the big tubes of safeguard/panacur cattle paste for horses all the time.  The dosage is the same for horses as it is for cattle.  The drench and pellets can also be used for both cattle and horses.

There is a difference...if you read closely on the boxes the concentration of product is different. Its not going to kill the animal if you gave one or the other, but in the long run, it does save money.

Darn near every product has a label with the ingrediants and the percent of active ingrediant. Feed additives list the ingredients in order of the percent of product in the mix. The first one listed is the one that is the highest percent.
Using that, you can compart products.

FYI: Look at labels of dog/cat food. Some list "corn gluten" as the first ingredient (meaning it is the highest ingredient by percent), some list poultry, lamb as the first ingredient.  Pretty interesting!
