We are leaving at 6 pm today. Gonna be a long night sitting in the truck. Last year we sat in line for 12 hours.

We will have several competitive steers there. Not sure why the lines are so long and slow. Christian Cattle Co.

Husband and several of our county bunch headed that way about 6pm... in line now.
We're taking our big guy either heavy weight Maine or Chi haven't decided.  Sure several from Lampasas County will do well... always do!
Good luck everyone!
Oh yea... son got a 1st place last week with our Chi Heifer!

We got to the Junior Heifer show at 11pm on 2/8, a stones throw from the gate only to be moved by the Bexar Co Sheriffs Dept.  The new Livestock Chair did not open the gate until roughly 4:30 the next morning 2/9.  I would call before I left early to see if they will have it open like they have in the past.  They did not for the Heifers and their were A LOT of irritated folks.  Also be careful, our Ag Truck had about $2,500 worth of valuables, clothes, etc... stolen from it in Lot G, 50 yards from police directing traffic.

They opened the Gembler road parking lot at 3:30 yesterday afternoon but kept everyone sitting there for quite some time.  I'm not sure what the point of keeping people sitting in line when there was not traffic between the lot and the barns and nothing at all going on in the barns was but I'm sure there's some committee that came to the conclusion that's what needs to be done.

With apologies to those that volunteer there, the good thing about San Antonio is it's close if you live here.

Guys were in SA at 10pm... didn't get in the barn till 8am this morning!  Boy am I glad the guys did that!  I'm too impatient to sit in a line that long.  Thank God for patient husbands!!
