Coyote.... now that you have figured out how to get semen for the US market, now you can figure out how to get me some. Good job on the video. The only thing I was wondering was which Ponderosa character you play.... Adam, Hoss, Little Joe.... or Hop Sing?

Scot... do you have any white bulls over there? After our bull sale we had a couple guys who were looking for white bulls. I have one here, but he is a TH carrier. Both guys said they wanted him but I would not sell the bull to them. I also have a lady in Manitoba who wants a white bull but wants him delivered in mid August. I asked her why she wanted it so late and she said she was never going to have another winter like this last winter, as she had every calf she had in her house trailer with her. .... Sounded like an uptown place!  If you know of any white bulls left in the country , let me know.

Where's the semen at? How'd you get it finally approved for export? Sue had a devil of a time , and, gave up trying.

All I have ever heard about the bull is GREAT things.  I am excited to see some calves and how they mature a little closer to home.  Nice video.

Do you feel he can be used on heifers? I note very low EPD but also a couple calves with over 100 lb BW.

jnm, I would not consider Bonanza a " real calving ease bull", the first year we used him on heifers the Buster daughters calved on their own, but  a few of the Alta Cedar Ultimate daughters we had to help. If you are looking for a calving ease bull I would recommend either Buster 14K or Buster 2nd 76P.

We got the semen stored at Genex, Mitchell, SD

Mr Coyote,
Just observing the female pictures, would you say he needs to be used on cleaner fronted females. The females are thick but look heavier through the front. What kind of cows do you see him really clicking with. I really like the last cow that you posted. Is that her calf or is she from your bull? Nice bull. Like his pedigree alot.

Mr. or Mrs. OH Breeder  ;)
I suppose you would be correct in your observation that the picture shows the females to have some brisket, I think it is a characteristic that comes with easy keeping cattle, but I maybe wrong.
I like to breed him to moderate to large, thick cows. I don't think he could perform a miracle on the tall, skinny, hard doing cattle, but I guess it would be a start.
The calf is  out of another cow, My boys thinks she is special.
