Scale options- suggestions/ideas needed

I am wanting to set up a set of scales at our barn before we get our next steer. We currently have a set of bars and the electronic display. What I need to do is purchase/build a platform and decide where to set the scales up at. I’m looking for ideas as to where the best place to set them up and if I should buy or purchase a platform. I’m also not sure if what I currently have will even work- bars/indicator. If not. I would also like suggestions as to what brand of scales I should go with. Any and all ideas/experiences are welcome!!
