Anyone hear how their sale went?

sale gross $7.5 Million. Never heard an exact average but it was over $12,000 average. Several bulls over $200,000 and top bull was $300,000.  May have been the best Angus sale in history

Frostback, you couldnt be any more grumpy IMO. ALOT of those bulls are 5 or 5.5 frame bulls, the rest are 6 or so. Not very tall cattle at all. They are fed well but no denying they grow and sell for a premium. So frosty your right, none are 4 frame. Must mean 4 frame cattle suck? Is that your point?

Talk about grumpy I just asked a question. I have not been involved with any of  the talk about frame until I asked a question. I didnt make any innuendos, so back off if you cant answere a simple question.

I use the SCHAFF CATTLE and like them a lot ,but they are just like another big outfit that  push them bulls so hard to come up with those weights ....I'll just let GENEX or other studs buy them and market real good semen I can depend on ....

The feedlots really like to feed SAV cattle. A local producer here has been using SAV genetics for awhile now and retains partial ownership in the cattle when they go into the feedyard. The feeders want to partner up on these calves.

I was told that there were lots of ranchers buying bulls at $8000 +. Some over $10,000.

JIT- when I relay info 2nd hand-- I seem to get yelled, cursed, karma dropped, and whatever else can shun one away...

but I guess it's ok for you to relay 2nd hand info-- or maybe even 3rd. (pop)

This is second hand info, ;), but I heard that the man that bought the $285K bull either last year or the year B4 , bought the high seller again this year & bought another bull for $100K this year. He is from Fall City, Ne. The source that I heard it from happened to sit beside him both years.

No he was happy with the first bull and had calves out of him that he was extremely happy with. I don't think either bull will be in a directory as far as I know.

I also heard second hand, about a Saskatchewan breeder who was runner up on a bull that sold for $77,000. I was told that the bull sold to a commercial man. This guy also told me the volume buyer wrote a cheque for close to $1 Million.
