You need to treat your calve for a bacteria infection and keep him hydrated or he will die very quickly. MM is not your answer.

A lot of people really like bio-mos/mos for scours. It mimics the digestive wall acting like a magnet to attach things that are making calves sick and then expels it out that back end. That is the very water down version our nutritionist gave me. I would also give your vet a call as scours can spread fast within a herd.

Sounds like the calf needs a shot of penicillin.  I hear that LA200 does not work for scours, just regular penicillin.  Get some electrolytes in the calf and keep it warm.  We put electrolytes down one of ours w/ a couple of eggs and some anti-diarrhea medicine and put him in a heated enclosure and got him back on his feet.

Hyrdalyte or Diaque electrolytes.I like to use Resflor for an antibiotic. If the calf has blood, it may or may not have clostridial scours and that you need to treat with AntiToxins ASAP. Keep the probiotics to them also so you can get the good "bugs" working in their stomach and keep them warm! Good luck!

Go to Tractor Supply. They have scour pills that will clear it up in three days. Mom always makes me give them one raw egg with the first couple tablets. She says it helps. So far so good. So I keep doing it. You must treat ASAp as mentioned one can get dehyrdrated quickly when they are young.

Get a couple tubes of Last Stand. I lost one calf to scours and tried Last Stand on another calf and was cleared up by the next day. They recommend two tubes.

In our prevention program we have used ALPHA 7 for many years, had a test one year without me knowing it ....Young hired man wasn't giving it and it cost me 40 calves that year and towards the end I checked refrigerator to see if needed more and hardly any was gone on 150 doses ....Worst thing it caused was the coyotes would pick on those sick calves ,and when you start trying to keep calves alive in an epidemic like that you just keep losing a few because of damage from being sick !!! Really hard on lungs ....

They're all valuable my man.  Saying it has bloody scours and getting help here is the equivalent of seeking similar help for yourself on-line for a potentially serious medical issue.  It could be any number of a variety of issues each of which may require different treatments.  Lots of great cattle folks on this site and no doubt a great deal of experience and solid advice but:  Call your vet.

I know some will say it different in a 10 day old calf but usually blood in stool means cocidiosis and Cor-Rid orally will take care of it.

if IT IS Cocidiosis I wonder if you feed cow's some Rumensin or BOVATEC  if that would prevent having this problem  !!!

It is NOT cocidiosis in a 10 day old calve..
