For those that have to purchases these, where do you get them from? We have to use them because we are deficent, but only know of one place in which we can purchase them and they are kind of costly. Anyone have any leads?

I was unaware these are still being made? I know people used them years ago but they vanished--heard the fda pulled the plug on them?

Well, no other leads. Cost from California Cattlemen's Association is $210 for 60 nonmember and $180 for 60 for member. Here in CA they ship out no problem. We give them to all our females. The reproduction rate, and still birth rate drastically decreases when we bolous vs, when they were not.

***On another note, what have you noticed is some of your (each ranch, area) common reasons for abortions and still deaths?? Love to know what you all have to deal with.

Here we have foothill, from the ticks, expecially when we buy out of area females. The heifers born on the ranchs in the area that are exposed to the ticks as youngens, don't have probs when they are first bred.
