I would like some input as to which semen tanks people prefer. We have used the same one for several years and are looking at getting a new one. It is a "Super 6", not sure who makes it. It is reliable and the only issue is its size. It can hold enough semen for us, but the neck is tiny. If you drop a cane in the tank, it is a major pain to retrieve it. Just wondering is there are any with larger diameter necks. Again, I haven't looked for one for years, so I have some research to do and I would like personal opinions beyond what is printed in the catalogue or on-line. Thanks in advance!

Most of the semen companies are running a special on them right now. Accelerated has a 20 week tank I believe that holds 400-600 straws maybe? For $470.

Just bought an MXE ( not sure of the number) from a local dealer. He claims the spring deals aren't that good . Even though you only pay $470 for the tank, shipping and filling with nitrogen are eating up the difference. I believe the total for mine was $700 for tank, nitrogen, delivery and 1 year of service ( 3 month).

I guess shipping would be the main add on for me. I have my tanks filled and maintained through CRI Genex, so that's not something I really have to worry about. As I said, the main thing is the diameter of the mouth that concerns me. Time for me to do some reasearch on the links you all provided!  (dog)
