Semen tanks

My wife and I are going to AI school in a few months so we can do our own AI ing . We currently do not have a semen tank our AI tech carries what we want in his tank. We are looking to get our own tank and would like your opinions on what tanks everybody likes. We will be breeding about 10 head a year for ourselves and also have some neighbors who want us to breed some for them and also store a few straws. Also what does it cost to have a tank serviced regularly ? Thanks in advance for your input .

There has ben a member asking for old tanks for repair now & again. You may want to contact them and ask what they may have available along with asking semen distributors. They will have some sales coming up this spring.

Look through e bay and such, have seen some good deals there and hit the second tier semen outfits. Their mark up especially right now is more in line to selling a tank than making a bundle.  One big outfit is over priced by a wad.

I got mine on Craigslist. It does really well for $80. I have had it for 3 years now with no problems. It costs me $30 every 3-4 months to fill. We are on a fill list for our area.

I really like the 20/20 tank. Its really easy to handle by yourself when you need to throw it in your truck and go breed for your neighbor and etc. 20 week holding time also.
