Looking at the impressive cows in the Shadybrook sale by DF Pure Gold 3N (thumbsup) and the Lot 13 bull Shadybrook Qantas 2B. He is Australian bred and by the Marellan Ferrari bull. He looks very interesting <beer>

Posted a pic of his sire Marellan Ferrari, I have to say I am a fan of a lot of the Australian programs!

This link takes you to a video of him

It was great to see a sale like this held in Canada. This sale featured brood cows and not show heifers. Demand was strong and cattle sold to many parts of Canada and the US as well as Australia and England. It was interesting who the partners were in the Qantas bull. I don't have the entire list but all of them are outfits trying to build better Shorthorns for their commercial customers. He brings something new to the equation. Doc picked up some excellent lots. I got lots 9, and partnered with Martyn Moore from England on lot 45, and also got in on the Qantas bull.
This sale has to rank as one of the best Shorthorn sales I have seen in Canada. I think they could have sold another 20-25 head at strong prices. I was carrying bids of $5000- $10,000 on a few lots and never got any for these people.

Very strong sale and great looking line of females. Amazes me how some operations can keep having these female sales and maintain a herd. There Vet bills must be impressive with the amount of ET work but guess they are reaping the rewards. Which lot was purchased for Australia?
