Well we finally have the white heifer in our avatar home. <party> <party> Since I have had several people inquire about her I thought I would post the pics on here for everyone. We picked her up on Monday and she has only been weaned for a couple of weeks so she is still green. We are very happy with her. She has the best disposition!!!! She still a little stubborn when it comes to walking but other then that you can do anything with her. She loved being clipped just wish I was better at clipping a white calf. Well please let me know you think of her. Thanks!

I really liked her picture at kellers but now she just looks as if she needs to pack on the weight.  She looks good from the side but from behind I would have hoped she would be thicker.  Hopefully that will come with time.  Poor the feed to her and she should do well.  Don't know what the competition is like for shorthorns in your area but she should do well.  Kepp her in a clean stall with shavings or saw dust to keep her clean and stain free.  It will save you time in the end when getting ready for shows.
Good Luck

Yeah its SO not fair to have palm trees on your farm!!
That is one thing I am jealous of about the USA, your ability to grow beautiful and unique trees.  It sounds rediculous, but it is very true.

Yes those are palm trees in the background. We live in south Florida so we have lots of Palm trees.

She is VERY green right now she had been weaned for only 2 weeks when we got on monday. They had said her recip. mom had not been a good cow so she did not get the best start and was behind the other calves. She is eating real good and I can see a big difference in her since monday when we got her home.

She's nice !!! I'm sure she will hold her on; I'm glad we don't have to show our babies against her !

i think bright lights or stain buster of sullivans is your best bet but i can definitely already tell a difference in her since i dropped her off to you on Monday.....good luck with her

I have a full sister to this heifer. Give her time she will bloom. They tend to be later to mature but really come into themselves. About 9-10 months. My heifer is a now 16 months old and she is really coming into herself. attached is her at 5 months last fall. Since then she has really come on.

May I make a suggestion? On clipping?

Yes you may make a suggestion especially on clipping. Clipping is not my thing. Thanks
