Some bulls that I am familiar with that might interest you :)

Diamond Prophecy 21P has worked well for us, not only has he been consistent as a calving ease sire in 4 herds to date, but he also is about to enter his 8th breeding season he is available at cattle visions http://www.cattlevisions.com/Shorthorn/Prophecy.php

Saskvalley Bonanza 219M  (He is one pound over but I figure that is close with his high CE) http://www.cattlevisions.com/Shorthorn/SaskvalleyBonanza.php

Thanks Jaimie, I'm actually pretty familiar with those 3 bulls.  If I don't go AI I'll use a bonanza x DRC bull I have.  I  like the Prophecy bull,  he sure is powerful on the move.  My cows are about moderate enough, so a minimum 5.5-6 frame bull is what I'm looking for.  I like 5-5.5 frame cows so obviously not interested in bulls smaller than that.

What about Altar cedar first blood? Anyone use him?  I like the saskvalley primo bull's look too but I realize he's a little bigger bw.  Might try to pick that semen up at the purple banner sale for a few second calvers.

Any mature pics of Sue's Nitro bull?  Or what about sneeds 322 bull that ra-ba~somethin bought?

JDMC's bonanza son looks Sharp too.  Any bulls not offered at bull studs but have semen available that I'm overlooking?

Your Bonanza x DRC bull looked great in the pictures you posted of him.  TO be honest I would probably use him over Ai'ing as he has a lot of great characteristics to offer.

We had some success with Saskvalley Primo 40P he would work very well on second time calvers; we will actually this year hope to be AI'ing a couple to him  if all goes to plan.  The heifers were really very consistent.

Doc Clark definitely is a even dark roan I hadn't even thought of him as an option (silly me) attached is his current EPD's and his video at NWSS where he was Reserve Senior Champion http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=veBVqQlpH58

Ar Su Lu Massive 3140. He should meet all the criteria that you are wanting. Might check him out, i'm a fan personally. Have had a couple calves out of heifers from him that I am really happy about.

Can the Massive bull cover his tracks?  l really like the looks of him.  Clean fronted, good length, deep chest, Level(with the spine) tailhead, deep red, I like him.

YlazyY's leader bull is a champ for sure.  How does 329 have a 32 for yw while the leader bull is single digits??  I know they shorty epds are bassackwards but when people start registering offspring, shouldn't the numbers adjust with higher accuracies?

Another bull I really like the looks of -except for the tailhead- is byland mission.  Might be too much for heifers tho.  Studers big john? Sofa cedar top dog 11t?

I have never seen Massive in person, so I can't speak to his movement. I will put a couple pictures of the heifer I had last fall out of him. She was out of a heifer and came early and small, but has grown great.

Okotoks...I love your fall picture of your leader bull! I think that might be your desktop wallpaper!!
I stole it from Ralph's Y Lazy Y website's herd sire page but if you want to see some more great photos see the Y Lazy Y photo page link below!

They have scenery in Montana almost as good as Alberta (lol)

329 was not born in the 60's or 70's/// this might be why his YW is higher then coal pit leader?... .  322 - semen available, check with the owners.  Lakeside Nitro's mature picture? Check with the owners? His dam is still going strong .
You're not going to get everything in one mating so why not focus more on longevity in the AI bull ?

One needs to remember that a bull like Kinnaber Leader 6th has almost no current offspring so as with any animal with little or no data they are basicly starting with zero or negative numbers.
EPD's were implemented long after they were originally popular. In the case of Coalpit Creek Leader 6th I looked at the few offspring he has on the ground and I think they are showing some pretty good  weaning weights, my guess is his numbers will only get better. I am certainly planning on using this bull some as I really like him.

I will say this about the Leader cattle and my little experience. The females seem to hold their flesh as well as the males with very little input. I haven't fed my Leader grandson  or Leader cow but a hand full of grain literally and they look like they have been on full feed. I also like the way the females calve and milk. Wide hip compact body while heavy milking. Maybe I got lucky with my Leader cattle. I sure like the looks of Leader bull posted. He has the soft made look to him.

Crooked Post Grissom is another bull that should be mentioned. He is being used in Australia,Canada and the US and has some pretty impressive numbers with high accuracy. There were some darn good sons of his at the battle River sale last weekend with the high seller going to Shadybrook. That son had awesome scan results as well.

I would use AR SU LU Massive as well. Have had some really great calves off of him; dark red, polled, easy moving, and easy fleashing. Really great bull and have used him on heifers.

Why isn't this bull more popular? This is one of the best looking shorthorn bulls I've come across.  Homo polled and cherry red!  He might be a little cow hocked (like 90% of shorthorns I'VE seen out there) but other than that- heck of a bull!
