I just love a couple shorthorn bulls but know nothing about AIing em to some of our cows?
Really like Radioactive and salute--
Or--------
Should we go Hereford say wide angle??

Just a handful to do just wanted to play around and throw some color--
But also need some muscle.

Any suggestions--

I wouldn't go Salute on big cows, unless you are wanting some more big cattle. He has big BW's & majority of calves are too big . JMO The Radioactives would have a better chance of working.

If you want to bring them down a tick and keep muscle etc, Jakes Proud Jazz and Gizmo both will reduce a the size a hair. Both will give you very marketable calves. Lots of shorty's you could use. What are the bloodlines on your cows. That is important too.

We've had very good luck breeding our shorthorn bull to our maine crosses. We bred him to our pb angus and got a really nice wide and thick blue roan that my daughter is showing this year. I think the two will make a good combination for you and you'll get some nice calves.

This is will be no surprise to no one. But I would strongly recommend Jakes Proud Jazz. He will downsize, add an attractive profile, plenty of bone as they grow, and they are gentle. I have honestly not had a bad one. Plus the calf will be born alive, an added plus he has over some of those "other shorties".

We have had really good luck with Radioactive on the Maines, they do come big and some are a tick too straight on the back legs, but they have all been really nice.  If you search Radioactive the calf I posted was on a half blood Maine cow.  Something else we have had good luck on was Vegas on our Maines.  I haven't haven't used Salute, so don't know on that and don't personally like Hereford JMO
