Shorthorn Directors ?

What is everyone's thoughts on the four people running for the spots on the ASA Board ? I'm a delegate this year and don't really know much about any of them. Any thoughts or other concerns ? Feel free to reply or pm me.

Do any of them have a background in production agriculture?

I don't know a lot about any of them ?

If you don't mind? I think it would be O.K. to put their names up here. I've been completely out of the loop recently, but maybe some others and I might have some POSITIVE comments to make.

Nancy Fergeson, Boyd Strope, Alpha Gipe, and Mike Bennett. Strope and Fergeson are up for re-election. I know Gipe has Sunny Day Shorthorns in CA and Bennett is also from CA. I really don't know much about any of them. I guess I will listen to their speech at the meeting. Really enjoyed hearing from all of them last year in L'ville.

I may be way off base here, but doesn't it seem kind of strange to have 4 people running for the board that no one has ever heard of?

Two are currently directors -  Strope and Davis - They are running for their second term ans seeking re-election.
Gipe and Bennett are running for the first time.
Their credentials and what they all want to do are outlined in the latest issue of Shorthorn Country.

I would just like to have a director or officer that would answer an email; I've probably sent at least 10 emails (some to all directors) over the last few years and have got ONE response.

Strope and Davis were elected by acclamation and Mike Bennett won over Alpha Gipe.

Is Davis from Ohio or Midwest?
