We have been picturing some of our spring heifers the last couple weeks and just wanted to share them with ya'll.  These four are sired by Red Diamond out of very diverse maternal lines. They definitely showcase his consistency and ability to add body, mass, and power to most any cow, while still delivering a maternal package.

We think this one is quite special. May 27th calf, lots of performance, very sound, sharp fronted, and just as stout as the others.  Couldn't resist getting a pic just after roughing her out. Will definitely get a good picture of her in the next couple days.

Just wanted to add that the last heifer only has one solitary shot of Trump in her, via Red Diamonds mother, who is a Sonny daughter.  Her dam side is completely outcross to Trump, Vortec, and anything else that is remotely mainstream.

He's a Wernacres Ace High x Sonny. Same sire and breeder as Ace of Diamonds.

Very impressive heifers!  It looks like Red Diamond is a bull that could do a lot of good in many herds. ... anywhere!

I was almost as impressed with the green grass. It is -32 C here this morning, and has been chilly for several days now. At first light I looked out could see the cows were already out spread across the pasture grazing.

He seems to have given them a look and color scheme.  I like the depth. From your previous posts I'm guessing that the cows were pretty nice too...

Great set!

Are the bull calves from Red Diamond as good a set as the heifers are? If you have a bull that sires equally good calves of both sexes, you have yourself a great breeding bull!

Two years ago our best two calves were Red Diamond bulls, and this year our best calf was a RD x jpj we sold as a steer very early. We had two other bulls this year that were worthy of keeping as such, but we don't have a market for many bulls. It's probably worth saying that these were the only 4 heifers sired by him this spring.

Justin what would you say RD's mature FS is please? Thanks. Brent.

Right around a 6 I'd say. His calves grow very fast to weaning, and then taper off just a little. I think they make nice sized yearlings though.
