I have 8 cows that are bred to TM Gus. Had my first 2 calves today. Both
were out of Major Leroy 3 year olds. Both were heifers, 82 and 87 lbs. They were
due on 3-13, so both were 6 days early. The calves look good and were built right to come easy.
I am quite pleased with the way the calves look.
I had used TM Gus on mostly RWM cows with the thought that a white
bull would make the calves roan and get rid of the spots. So far I would say
I'm 50/50 , one is a nice even roan and one is more solid red and white
than true roan. I'll have to wait and see, the verdict is still out with 6 to go.
