Yearling heifer sired by YY429B Shorthorn bull out of White Galloway first calf heifer.  Bred to red Galloway in hopes of solid Red Bull calf. This cross rarely misses....never had a bite of anything other than hill grass, hay and weeds.

Looks like she's turning out to be what you'd hoped for! Her sire just left for Oregon on Saturday. New owners are going to use him for pasture breeding in their Natural Beef program. We kept the semen rights. He will go to collection later this week.

Bred to this Galloway bull...hopefully he will nick with the YY in the heifer for something just a little finer than straight Galloway.

Larissa- the Galloway crossed on Shorthorn makes for a super silky long coat instead of the more shaggy curly Galloway hair...from what I've seen. Galloway seems to always add volume to the body of whatever you put it on...or guess I should say I've never seen it NOT add volume
