Shorthorn x White Galloway calves

Born this week. Kind of fancy. The ones I've seen from black cows are shaggier and more rugged. I thought the strong difference between male and female was encouraging.

I'm putting these pictures up as sort of continuing education about Galloway crosses. I would really like to see some more pictures of commercial type Galloway cross cattle.
Here is the blue grey version of the Shorthorn cross, using a white Shorthorn bull. I have black cows that are half sisters to the white cows, all out of the same white Galloway bull and White Galloway cows. The black cows have a different character (more wedge, longer hair, finer heads) Its a small sample size, but I do not understand this phenotypic difference that follows color in Galloways. Duns are different yet, and reds confound me.
What interests me about this blackish calf is his very deep chest floor.
