I think Shorty+ sounds, and looks COOLER... I mean seriously...  What kind of cool graphics can be used with the work appendix...???

Now, the Durham Red deal, is different than the Shorty+, even though they all start out as shorthorn plus, and remain so if the data isn't turned in.

wouldnt know, since ive never owned one, but curious,  do the durham reds have their own special type of papers or do they just get shorty + papers (green)? technically speaking, they are shorty +'s.

I have never registered one, but it was my understanding that they get regular Shorty+ papers, until the data is turned in and completed... after that, a new (different colored paper is issued, as well as a new Reg # with a DR instead of AR prefix)

There was another thread on here this fall that had information about the ASA easing up on the Data requirements for the Durham Reds-- they are accepting Durham Reds for the special registry without Yearling Weight and TH testing now.
You still need to provide BW and WW and the animal has to be at least 25% Red Angus (I believe).
It is pretty easy-- you get the Shorthorn Plus paper first and then you can exchange it for Durham Red when you get the other data.

You can paper a black, blue or purple shortplus w/o anything ( as far as bw,ww or yw) it could be a Hydro carrier donor mated to Rodeo Drive ET .... and you'll  still get a paper?    I like the new name "shorthorn plus" . Just pay the bill and the paper is printed
