Dont worry it doesnt have a rainbow background. The shortie calf didnt want his picture taken.

I like the shorty much more then the other for showing. Other calf looks like a good feeder calf tho. Both look very healthy. So far so good IMO.
Progress is not about using progeny differences to change cattle, it is about sustaining the good ones absent self-inflicted problems.

So yes on the shorty and a good market calf for the other calf? what would you change about them

The shorty heifer is a good rip. if anything I'd make her a little longer. She seems like she is built right from what I can tell. Pictures are a thing of patience. Keep taking them and you'll finally get a good one. Study good pics and try and copy them.
The other calf just doesn't seem to have very clean lines and not much hair to work. I think both are good calves.
