Which bulls would you shorthorn breeders  recommend for clubby bred cows? A sample of the breeding I have is Fear This, Texas Hold Em, Silver Bullet, Juneau, Heat Wave, and Dr. Who. My dad has a few Double Vision cross cows that I like, but I think I can find a different bull that cost less that Double Vision.

The best bull I have used-AND IVE TRIED EM ALL since 1993-is:-FREE FOR ALL-BAR NONE-clean both ways-roan-as long as they arent super straight legged hes the 1 Id use.-I had 2 calves-one hiefer  (only have 4 cows left to my name) will be on the national circuit,(shes more of a jackpot deal)-there is a bull calf at DMCC-that is as good or better, small BW-oughta be shown. Free For All is:-Sonny-x a Draftpick-Vision cow.I think hes the best clubby showy bull in YEARS-the owners dont like me and I cant be in thier clique-I could care less. O0

Mark, I have to respect your answer my friend. If that aint a honest to goodness opinion then I don't know what is. IMO and I am not a show guy, I would suggest free for All jamesgang.  Give him a shot if possible.  Mark has my curiosity now. And I can't stand Sonny or Trump(shocker I said that). Good thing I was not born a cat. 9 lives would not nearly be enough. No hard feelings on the Trump thing folks. I know I am in the minority.  <beer>

I would have to second Asset. I have an asset heifer. He will take some size out of them and make them a little cleaner.

Free 4 All came to mind along with Swagger. Anyone have any Swagger's?
Also I would strongly consider some of the bulls from Canada & some of the outcross bulls that are talked about to help on the structure problems that are inherant in the club calf deal. I think that there are bulls with a little more set to them and have better milking ability than most of the SHs used in the clubbie world. JMO.

Whats peoples opinion of Polar Express.
He'll throw a good one once in awhile, but they can be larger framed and coarse made. Some troubles reported in getting cows settled to him.
Sin City cows for us are large framed. The ones that we have are the largest framed cows that we have.

How about SIN CITY hes double clean and would work on bigger framed clubbie cows

Sin City has not been a downsizer at all. in fact I would use him on little clubbier cows. He will put a nice front on one with some hair. He would make nicer heifers than steers. Just my opinion.
