Anyone know of the best stuff to use? I bought some stuff called showbloom last year. It was ok, but what do you suggest?

I really like showbloom they eat it really good. I have been trying Shag this year and it seems to be working. They eat it pretty good too.

Thanks for the imput lacey!
I don't want a huge weight gain all at once. They do eat showbloom well. I'll look into shag!

I used to use a product that was cherry flavored corn oil. It added some extra fat, kept the fines down & gave the feed a good taste. You need to use it very lightly though or it will make your calf loose.
I really believe that if you have a good ration, good quality feed, grass hay & a good mineral program that is the best. Sometimes when we start messing with feed aditives we can throw the ration totally off.

About how much corn oil? I'm sorry if I sound stupid.

No, problem on the stupid questions, it's better to ask!  I had a pump on it & just added a squirt. Start out very lightly, like I said it can make them loose. I put it on just before I fed them you can also get it mixed in at a local feed mill sometimes.

Have you tried Oxy Explosion? Works great for me the last two years.
