Alright so I have a calf that weighs just over a thousand pounds and he's filling out really nicely and I will be switching him from the showmaster grower he's on now to the showmaster finishing feed however I am wondering if I should also switch my other calf who is around 930 pounds and still has a lot of room to grow. I was looking at the showmaster website and it recommended to switch to a grower at 900 pounds. Would he benefit from being on a grower for a little longer? Discussion?

We never feed grower at all, only finisher, my 4-H leader says that there isnt much difference, and weve had many many champion steers in my group that ate finisher all their life. I'd say its fine to switch the other steer to finisher

We fed Showmaster last year to two steers.  Used grower from start to end, never went to finisher.  One steer was covered just right, the other one was a tad overdone.
