I recently purchased three steers from out west and brought them down to Florida. Since then, the calves have had runny noses and a cough. I vaccinated them with 8-way black leg and triangle four even though the seller said the fella he got them from said he had already done that. I have been adding Terrimycin crumbles to their feed. What should I do? We plan to take two of the three steers to a prospect show in three weeks and I really don't want to give them a shot of LA200 and have the huge knots in their neck. Is there something else that will kick this that is not quite so noticeable? Thanks for your advise.

Nuflor and Baytril are pretty potent and get the job done. But I think you're gonna have to do an IM injection. I would be more concerned about getting them over their infection asap so they will gain like they're supposed to and be ready for whatever big show you have in mind later down the road.

NuFlor, Sub-Q - loose skin behind the front leg.  Draxxin maybe even a better choice, give same way but will be a smaller dose than NuFlor.

A shot of Draxin and Banimine always seems to work for me.  I think the Draxin will work for 7 days.

We give them a sulfur boluses per the dosage on the box..clears it up really well without the risk of giving your calf a knot.
