So I bought a heifer from Kentucky and I live in New Brunswick so she had quite a drive. We got her home and her manure was really hard, it was to the point that it was like goat poop. We think that she was just really dehydrated. Her manure is fine now but she has a bit of a snotty nose and is coughing a little bit. We took her temperature and it was fine. Im sure that its nothing but I just want to be sure because she wasn't cheep! What do you guys think it could be?
Thanks!

as long as she is eating and drinking well and has no fever, just keep
an eye on her and let her get over the "cold" herself.

When we bought our heifer from the Exposure sale in 2008, a week after brining her home she got real snotty nosed and did not seem right. A few days later ended up with a temp and going off her feed. She ended up with shipping fever, and with medication ended up fine. Keep a close eye on her, and keep temping her.
