Does anyone know if the Simmental bull CAJS Blaze of Glory is homozygous polled or carries the horn gene?  Also any reports on calves from heifers, I need a white face calving ease sire.

I'm sure he is homozygous polled and I have had four calves by him.  I think he will work on most heifers as long as the heifer doesn't have birth weight issues.

Three out of the four calves were good.  One bull calf I that I made a steer was champion feeder steer at our state show.  One bull out of a chopper half-blood simmental cow made a good show bull and sold him to my neighbor that I partner with on some things. I kept one heifer that is a half-blood that will calve in October.  The other calf was out of a half-blood simmy first calf heifer that was pretty plain that I culled and sent to the stockyard. The calves weighed 60= 75 pounds at birth and the 75 pounder was out of a heifer no problems. I will use him again, in fact, a bred an Angus heifer to him last week. He is better bull than his sire in my opinion.
