Have any of you all had any experience with the following bulls, and how did you like the calves and retained heifers.

Kappes Direct Force K206
Triple C EL Ponderosa Rey
SJ Thorne
TNT Jumpstart  R238

I have used these bulls so I know how they have worked for us but was interested in others comments about the calves.

Current Cleanup bull is out of Triple C EL Pnderosa Rey and a Nichols Legacy G151 cow.  Most likely going to buy back an SJ Thorne son out of an SAS/ASF ALL Star x Nichols Legacy G151 cow to use as a cleanup bull.

Only one I can comment on is Jumpstart. I think he is way under rated. We have used 200+ units. Mostly on high % angus heifers. Calve easy and they take off. Maybe a tick smaller framed than I like but they go on to be some great calf raisers.

I agree they grow really well.  How have the heifers turned out as far as temperament?  The ones I have seem to be just a little nervous, not too bad but just enough I have been cautious about using him again.

only one I can comment on is Rey.....
his daughters in our herd are second to none; they are in their prime now.
I have used Powerdrive on several to make linebred Powerdrive bulls which we are using
in herd.

they are nice, moderate cows; deep bodied, milk good....

I've been around a lot of Jumpstarts as virgin heifers never noticed anything. Our Jumpstart was easy to handle and the steer calves I've had here always have been too.
