This is a 2013 Ebonys Grand Master X Steel Force heifer. I am just getting started with my own herd and bought a couple nice animals a few years ago and looking to add another! I also wanted to have an opportunity to show next year. What is your opinions on this heifer?

Also I am putting only a few heifers through winter and wanting to increase there condition for shows next spring. What would you recommend? I have considered using a show rite feed with my current feed. Opinions?

THANKS!

Looks like a good start, she just needs feed. Also what mineral are you feeding I think she looks deficient with her faded dead hair and her not shedding out completely.

I have not bought her as of yet but when I was in the barn she was on a cattlemans pride mineral.

That is one thing I noticed as well about her... I know when goats are that red it is a copper deficiency, in our area we lack Selenium and seem to lack the copper as well. What mineral program would you recommend? Would Copper Bolus be an option I should consider?

Also do you have recommendations for a feed mix?

Thanks for your feed back as well I really appreciate it! My last year of 4-h was a couple years ago but my 10yr old cousin will most likely be taking one of my heifers next year in 4-h.

Call a vet or feed store with someone you trust from your area. I will not suggest something without even know what state you are from. I think you are on the right track with the copper but talk to a local vet for suggestions.

Sounds good :) My animals are on a mix the local feed mill makes in the area and seem to be having good results. I did talk with the vet and said Copper Bolus would be the fix since she seems copper deficient.
