Cool deal. Let me know how they do! I definitely want to see some pics when they are born.  And I watch mine closely too, just don't want to take any chances with this heifer because she is pretty good. So what does Chopper add/ take away from a cow?

Go back and look at my last reply, I put some links there for you on some of his progeny, including video. As far as what kind of cows he works on, he breeds very similar to his sire (Steel Force) and Grand Sire (Dream On). He will pretty them up, clean them up, and add some style. If they are sloppy fronted, not sure how much he will clean them up but he should not add any. Look at the photos from Griswold, not much neck on those girls!

Entourage has not worked for us in making show animals.  Otherwise, he throws them thick, deep but a little course shoulder and a little heavier fronted (at least for us). I like the cattle but not for the show circuit.

I'm a little bummed reading some of the Grandmaster comments.  I have two of my best heifers bred to him due in March / April.  I have seen a bunch of Upgrade bred calves this past year that really impressed me. (of course after I already bred to Grandmaster) :)

Davidsonranch,  on the grandmaster note,  i wouldn't get bummed out quite yet. Keep in mind  that most of the cornbelt states were in a severe drought this season,  my grandmasters were out of heifers so that was 2 strikes against them from day one. Ive seen some that ive really liked but the bull calves out of him might be where its at!

I have one Grandmaster in production and she did a great job. Then I have one bred heifer to him that will calve in the spring. Then I kept every heifer calf by him again. Love them all. They do not knock you socks off at first but then just keep coming on. I will be my clubby heifers to him this year also. Also kept a bull that we used for clean up and love him. Masculine, free moving, not the best fronted but not sloppy. I have tried for a good photo of him but I am not a photographer it seems.

TNT Ever Ready, He is an older bull that ABS has. I had forgotten about him until I saw several at the CowTime Sale. Not too shabby ranch raised breds.

Here are some photos of his calves:

Also, Griswold cattle sale is Saturday, and lot 32 to lot 45 are all Chopper heifers, here is a link to videos:

My daughter fell in love with a red heifer with a white face that was sold in a private bid off sale this fall, she was a Chopper out of a Whizard 2 year old female. She went for a bit of money.

How would you compare him to Amazon? Have you seen any Amazon calves?

I can not really compare them, since I have only seen a few Amazon calves. Not sure why, his calves do not seem to sort to the top, whether that is from fewer of them out there or not the quality to make it there, I can not say. But for an older bull, there is not much out there by him. Makes you wonder why  ???
