This goes w/ the thread of bulls that never turned out.

What are some bulls that started out as unknowns but really came on strong?

I'm putting Jake's Proud Jazz on my list.

Money Man was a well kept secret too I would think.  For me, it's been Perfect Timing.  Still not real popular, but I like him a whole lot, and the calves get noticed!

Meyer 734 is one I would put in this catagory.  I don't think he really hit his stride until his daughters were in production.

Thanks Tony. I wanted to put him up, but that's kinda asking for it. We've been able to sell a few as county fair calves and there will be 2 in Nate & Leslie Ruby's sale this fall. I'll try to get up a couple of pictures 2 Wilson heifers that we had in May that we think are going to be really good. Brent

Well we are hoping our three new bulls make this list and not the other one, as soon as they turn two we are gonna push them harder.
we were told by alot of people that we needed to stop pushing them cause they were too young,
but hopeuflly AMP and Nuclear Reaction will be some future bulls.

My alltime favorite clubby bull fits this list - Heatseeker. He sold for like $5250 1/2 interest as a calf. They only had the one goofy, barely clipped, halter on, picture. Then in limited use at Kopp's and some of Hook's cooperators (Krause's "The Hulk" calf comes to mind), next thing you know there's a $30,000 baby calf, state and national show winners, and you can hardly get semen on him. The rest is history I suppose

Would anyone consider CTR Success a sleeper bull? I can't say that I have ever seen a calf from him, but I like some of his gets get. Analyze This has sired some good ones, and the Success daughters are said to be good producers. Can anyone help me on this?

Yes, He is somewhat of a sleeper.  Moderate calver, works good on Charolais.

The CTR Success females are good producers. All around good functional cows. Have only seen a limited number but they appear to do many things right. Although not a traditional clubby type, he might compliment some of those genetics.

I feel ZNT Triple X, a maternal grandson of Success by Hardcore, will prove to be one heck of a good cow maker. Starr's and Shultz's in Neb. will have some heifers that could be viewed. I would like to get a report if any of you cattle folks happen to see any of them.

i would throw sunseeker in there, at least for a year he was kind of a sleeper. i know people saw some feeders and everyone said they wouldn't turn out as fats but i know of at least two state fair winners already.

Many of you will not know the bull that I am talking about, but FHG Flying H Exclusive.  Look him up (he's a Gelbvieh)  and admitedly everything you don't want when you look at him.  But his numbers are stunning so someone gave him a shot.  Some of our best cows are out of him, and we have sold some super bulls out of him as well.  I will see if I have any pictures of any offspring that we have of his.  He has some real nice genetics hid in that ugly body, I guess I should say had, I heard that he died this past month or so.

Here is FHG Flying H Exclusive.  I grabbed it off the internet, so I hope it isn't too big on here.
