Yes, I heard a couple months ago that Walt had sold his entire herd to Cagwin. I only heard that his work was keeping him too busy to do everything he wanted to with his cattle. There are probably other reasons as well. For the past number of years Don has purchased one or two complete herds and sold some through his sale and kept others in his herd. Some of the better cows stay in his herd until they have daughters to replace them and then they are sold through his sale. I was though Cagwin's herd last Sept at the time of his production sale. I was impressed with the quality and also with the numbers of cows. I would think there were close to 130 to 150 breeding age females. The Byland Mission daughters are a good group of females!
