I need a deep bodied, good made simmi bull that will add bone, hair, and show appeal to my cows. I've been thinking along the lines of Grizzly, Whizard, MR NLC Upgrade, Trendsetter. Any opinions?

I'm using Grandmaster for one of my 2nd calvers. I've read on here that he's consistant, low BW's, and adds muscle.

Well, I don't know what kind of cows you are using him on (breed, size, appearance), but when I want those traits I think of:

Built Right
Cut Above
Grandmaster
Rendition
Milestone (Good luck finding semen though!)
Trademark and Upgrade have worked good for me too. Upgrade might add leather, and he can be hit and miss.

We really like our Grandmaster calf. She is deep and soggy, unlike her mother who is tighter gutted and heavy muscled. He really put the pretty in the calf, and deepened her up!

I really like that Quick Fire and Montecito. I just don't know what I want I guess! I wish I could breed them all at one time.. :S

I like Harkers/JS Domination now that he has came down on price so that it is more feasable to use commercially. He has sired some really good looking offspring. I would not want to spend $40/50 on semen from a new bull. There are just too many bulls that are prooven to pick from.If a half blood bull will work, JF Foundation is a bull that I like. JMO.

+1 on  Domination to add depth of body.  He certainly did that on three crossbred cows we used him on.  The bulls out of him had excellent testicular development as well, which was probably a reflection of Domination's own semen quality.  We would have liked to have seen more width and front end extension in them.

How any calves did you have by him? What was their birth weights like? With his horrible calving ease number, I am reluctant to try him...

Haven't most of the SM #s went into the tank with the changing of the formulas? I have been told that 70% of the cows #s have dropped drastically. I know that some of the bulls That Steenhoeck's took to Denver were Domination sired. His #s dropping is what has also made him more affordable.
