Just thought I would share a couple of pictures of my newest acquisitions. They aren't great photos, just snapped of them out in the field while I was looking at them. Hopefully they'll be solid heifers that will be good mommas for me in the future. No show ring in their future, just out pasture be cows and hopefully raise some decent prospects.

Heifer #1: Sired by Mossy Oak out of a Hot Spot daughter.

Heifer #2: Sired by a Who Made Who X Ali herd bull out of a AngusX cow (unsure of details on pedigree)

I like the Mossy Oak heifer. One of our best consistent producer is a Mossy. Is she tested for PHA?

They are still on the cows and waiting for weaning for me to pick them up, but as soon as I do I'll be pulling tail hair on both of them and getting them tested. Hopefully the genetics will be on my side and she'll come back clean!

I'm glad to hear you've got a Mossy Oak that is a good producer, hopefully she'll turn into a decent one for me as well. What seems to click well with the Mossy Oak genetics for you?

She has worked with almost everything we have tried for her and those were. Maximus- heifer, Chunky Monkey- heifer, Monopoly- steer, Carnac- heifer, Monopoly II- Heifer, I-80, Heifer. We did send her second calf to the sale barn and that was a Hannibal steer. All the heifers were retained or sold to be a cow. I have embryos in the tank of this mating but have not had the opportunity to put any in yet.
