Does anybody know who bought the Sooner clones in Denver?  Do you think they will offer semen on them to the public?

I ask because I was hoping to breed for some replacements out of him...anybody use him or know what kind of cows he works on?

Just by looking at the pics of the clones it looks like a pretty fronted, big bellied cows would be my guess...

The one I have is the opposite of this statement.

Another question for the guys breeding higher percent Maine cattle...

I have quite a few high % Maine cows that I would describe as very feminine, good milkers and maybe on the bigger framed side (1400 lbs).
They have adequate capacity (could use more) and could use a little more muscle mass with a little more bone and foot size.  I am looking to breed for a group of replacement/show quality high % heifers.

I have looked into quite a few bulls, saw quite a few calves out of all of them and have come up with these options...

HAA Wisdom
Boomer
Sooner
or maybe BK Unlimited Power

My questions are,
Am I on the right track?  What has your experience been with these bulls?  What kind of cows are people using these bulls on?

Maybe you have a better suggestion, I want the calves genetic defect free.
Thanks in advace for your input.

You are on the right track, I love those bulls I have an I October born heife from unlimited power that is real good. I love her look, use him on harder doing, little on the unsound side and he will do wonders. All th rest speak for them selves

There are a lot of different Maine genetics and those bulls mentioned are very good. Another option that seemed to work well on high percentage cows was the bull Thriller owned in part by Lautner. I don't know if you want to stay in the high percentage range. But Thriller will give you 3/4 out of pure bred cows.

If you want good feet and legs, I like ZNT Montego Bay. He will also down size, add muscle and appears very consistent with great quality hair if that is of interest. His calves look really good IMO.

I like the look of your calf in your other thread.  What does her dam look like and what is her dam's breeding?

Her dam is a moderate, straighter, harder made older school Maine, she's a fear this on top and I can't remember bottom. I talked to Jirl before using unlimited power to see what he was working on and the way he described was this cow made over.
