For the Australians battling natural disasters at the moment.

In Western Australia, there are bushfires rampaging, and in Queensland much of the State is seeing the worst floods in a long, long time. There have been 10 deaths reported from the Queensland floods to date.

I was talking to one person in Brisbane yesterday as she watched a tree float past from her fourth floor apartment, and earlier in the day, a house had just washed up... no one knew where it had come from.

It's hard to even imagine and when you see the photos you can't help but wonder how long the clean up getting back to normal will take. Makes 25 below and snow look a lot better!

It is certainly bad when there can be a flash flood on top of a mountian like in Toowomba. One minute a normal intersection with cars and people the next a wall of water and all washed away.

Another sad story to come from the floods...
Jordan Rice, aged 13, was swept away in the flash floods in Toowoomba. Jordan told rescuers to save his younger brother Blake (10) first before losing his own life...

Most of the national news cast included pictures from downunder yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those in mother nature's way. It's almost unbeleivable when to see the pictures.

Yes, thoughts going out to all the Austrailians.  The news photos are hard to watch.  Praying for you that it will stop raining there.

Update on Cyclone Yasi

"Military helicopters evacuated patients from hospitals Tuesday as authorities ordered thousands of people to flee a powerful, "life-threatening" cyclone roaring toward waterlogged northeast Australia.
Cyclone Yasi was forecast to directly hit the far northern city of Cairns late Wednesday with damaging wind gusts up to 250 km/h, the Bureau of Meteorology said. Up to one metre(3 feet 3 inches!) of rain could fall on communities in Queensland state already saturated from months of flooding."
