I had received an e-mail from Joe Boy, he is not in the worst of the flooding area but still receving more rain than needed. I'd like to send out a special prayer/thought for those in Texas, Oklamhoma & other areas that are in the flood zones.
Also please continue to send prayers/thoughts for those of us still needing the valuable rain.
Also for all of those that are in pain or suffering personal setbacks or trials.

Thank you

Has anyone heard from Chambero recently?  That flooding is in his area. Also, I have a cousin and his family on a trip to Italy as well

Yes, I just got an e-mail from him. They are having foor rot problems w/ the pastures being so wet. No damage other than that. He said they were going to sell calves so it was going to be tricky getting them out of the fields.
Chambero did say the grass was green & the water tanks full. A blessing for that!

JoeBoy has had fences washed away. Also there is water in their church basement.

I know there is also alot of flooding in SE Kansas, they declared 18 counties disaster areas starting the next county over from us, some are completely under water.  Our area has had from 12-14 inches of rain in the last 4 days,( we are in an area that will never flood, if we do all of Kansas City would be under water), but everything is saturated, when you drive across the pasture it sound like you are driving in water.  Once again, a happy medium would be nice.

Is he out in the cornfields or woods?

Thought I'd give an update on our son, Chris.  He was released from the doctor to do pretty much whatever he wanted as long as he didn't need pain med 2 weeks ago tomorrow.  He came home, jumped on the 4 wheeler and checked cows then did his chores.  LOL.  Last Thursday was his first show back and it went amazingly well.  His heifer whacked him with her head but didn't hit his incision site.  Whew!  His heifer won Supreme Champion Heifer and he was thrilled!  Our younger son, Jesse, is now showing his yearling heifer and a young calf he broke by himself.  We want to thank all of you for your prayers for us.  The bills are starting to roll in now and we're thankful once again for the health insurance Mike's work provides us.  Without it, this may have been a catastrophic bill for us.  To date we're at nearly $17,000 with lots of stuff not accounted for as of yet.   Thanks again.

Im really glad for you farmboy!  Having a missing critter is one of the worst feelings in the world.  Do you remember my wild story about the missing pigs last year.?  We were sure they were all mountain lion bait.  But they were hanging out in the neighbors water hole.  Whew!

Spring graduation at my University was two weeks ago, and since then, 3 people that had just graduated have died.  I didn't know any of them, but it's just so sad all the same.  One of them was in an accident while biking across Canada to celebrate graduating.  :-\

This past year has been horrible for our high school.  Our Superintendent died at Christmas time and then our P.E./Girls Track/Asst. B-Ball coach died.  Then a week after we graduated, a student died from an O.D. there is even foul play suspected in the student's death.  I went to a small school, only about 350 kids, so this hit us pretty hard.  Rough times for a little community....
