Joe Boy, that is just a terrible situation. I just lifted up some prayers for them and all the others as well.  :(

Red,
I prayed for you three times yesterday and a time or two today....  Thank the Lord.

I am still praying for the soldier and his family, those in California and those in the southeast USA....as well as our fighting men and women.

We have a young couple where I preach that his mother and father died 6 months apart last year and the young man has been managing the harvest crew for the last 4 years.  His health has been poor with diabetes.  He has only 19-23% heart function.  Today they told him he has pancreatic cancer.  If he does not live a certain period of time, his widow and three small children will not inherit the family farm, but it will go to a children's home.  The children are 5, 7, and 11.  All adopted.  All were wards of the court.  All had mothers on drugs and alcohol.  The oldest one was slammed into a wall by her mother's boyfriend and her pelvis was crushed.  These kids have a good, a very good home, and they need their father as well as their mother.  Please remember the Thomas family.

He is now home from the hospital in Lubbock but goes back next Monday, if he can wait that long.  He is really having it tough.  He did not have cancer but a badly infected colon, esophagus, and stomach.  They said due to his diabetes.  They implanted a device with an outside controller to help with pain.  He is on a very strict diet, a new pain medicine, and heavy antibiotics.  Thanks for your prayers for the Thomas family.

Update on the soldier who lost two children in a car wreck with his wife bringing the kids to see him in the hospital from an injury in Iraq.  The third child died this week.  Our hearts go out to this poor family in their great time of need.

A mail man from Vernon who serves under my son in Iraq was injured falling from a truck and has lost feeling and has had tingling in his hands and feet.  After 6 weeks they finally sent him to Germany.  Tomorrow he will have surgery in San Antonio.  His family is on the way to be with him.  He has 5 vertebra's injured in his back.  Please remember Danny McMahen.

My prayers go out to the family and to your mail man. Reading the story brought tears to my eye and I want all to remember it is the season to be thankful for what we have not what we don't and that all year long should be the season to give all we can give.

Terrible thing to have happen anytime but especially when people are Christmas shopping. Common Sense said she knew of a woman that was there. Also the owner of a store.
Just so sad.

Please keep "Justme" & her family & all those still without power or suffering from the latest rounds of winter storms.
I miss her very much!

Wow, I didn't realize she was still without power.  We missed the bulk of the last batch they predicted 9 inches, but we only got about 3, did they get hit by that or did it miss them?  I feel for them that is no fun!

I spoke w/ her this morning. She has a cold to top it all off! She said they got about 4" of snow from the last batch. There are rumors that the power might not be on until after Christmas.
