so...wondering if anyone knows of any technology improving Commercial herds besides medical related and ai/et and epds
this is for my FFA speech this year  after getting 2nd two years in a row to the same girl it's all or nothing for me!!

DNA testing for traits such as ADG, tenderness, yield grade, marbling, REA, longevity, docility, etc.

treating our range land like our farm land. And how greater efficiency of grass lands can lead to greater yield and better cattle in general.

Hybrid vigor. Rotational and intesive grazing.

Nutrition.  Nutrional challenges.  Taking advantage of by-products.  The use of supplements to increase digestion.

I personally like "The Future is Here".  Rewind the clock 20 years.  Show how we have decreased our cattle on feed or our herd size in US but have increased beef production.  Show what has changed.  Display before and after on reproduction (AI, epd, ebryo transfer, dna profiling, etc), Nutrition (as mention before), Carcass traits and merits (how packers or consumers have changed their buying habits thus changing what we do today.  Finish off by showing how many people on farmer fed then and now.  Show what challenges the next 20 years holds.  Good luck.
