Just wondered if its ok to dye a calf in sections.  One of my sons steers just needs it on the lower hind end, really all of them could.  Can you tell it if you just dye it certain areas.
I just got one little bottle of that stuff from Sullivans.  Didn't realize it was so little!!
Hope to do 3 calves on those areas?  Will I have enough??

Thanks!  Been thinking of you all up North in all that snow... hope you, your families, and all your livestock are getting along ok!!

Thanks again for the help!

You will most likely run short. One bottle per calf would do the trick for the legs. It will blend in fine.

Isn't there some grocery store stuff some of you have mentioned?  (forgot)  Really didn't want to place another order...

Be careful.  We found out that the sullivans can burn the skin pretty badly.  We ended up going to Wal Mart and buying the cheapest blk dye they have and didnt have the flakey skins issues afterward.  We used it to touch up a kids calf that was brown in a couple of places.

Go to a Beauty supply &  buy a couple boxes of black Young Color II hair dye.  A good way to spot dye is to mix a box in with your Kleen Sheen and keep it handy in a spray bottle.  You can rinse it right out after the show.

They don't make the good old Revlon Young Color II anymore.  There might still be a little bit floating around out there somewhere, but it'll likely be hard to find.  I also use the cheaper end black Revlon or Clairol anymore.  I don't believe it adds quite as much body as YC II did, but it colors well and does make the hair softer and manageable.

I just got two cases of young color II last month, I ordered it through a local hairstylist.

We called Revlon's customer service number back in August and were told it was no longer in production, and they knew of no plans to bring it back.  Maybe there's been enough demand to get it back in production (I hope so), or maybe you found some that's been stored somewhere.

Does it work to mix the other cheap dyes with Kleen Sheen to only dye certain spots.
