I know some of you are still getting hit hard by bad storms & I feel deeply for you.
I think however spring is making an apprerance in Ohio this week. Grass, wheat & hay greening up. Hubby got my garden tilled! I've planted some rose bushes. Even Woody was laying in the sun!

The tractors are on the move here. I saw the anyhrdous tanks on the road. Fertilizer is being delivered. I packed a dinner bucket for the hubby.
For those of you newbies, I try to keep a little log going about the crop side of farming. We farm 3,500 acres in Ohio. Grow corn, soybeans, wheat & hay. We also do a lot of custom chopping & ditching. Just last year put up a 100,000 bu grain bin. I had posted several pictures of that operation.

for those of you farming, keep safe, be careful & make it home in tact each night!

It is wonderful here in Ohio.  I still refuse to plant anything in the garden before mothers day, I am defenatly trying to get it ready!  My toddler and I have been out every evening working in the yard and she is loving it!  Were are supposed to get rain all weekend though  :'(  .

I had to laugh, I was out driving for my work earlier today and there was a big Case Combine driving through the center if Springfield.  A middle age man driving  and an older women in the buddy seat.  They had a box of cheese nips and other goodied on the floor.  Looked like they are going on a road trip in that thing.  Maybe they get real good fule milage or something  ???  I couldn't figure it out  :)

I love the buddy seats! told the hubby Woody gets thrown up there this year!
We have to drive the combine 45 minutes by car to a farm. quite challenging!

I'm not planting the garden except for peas, spinach & lettuce. Way to early for anything else here. I have planted early & put plastic 1 gallon milk jugs over them. I knew if he didn't get it tilled he never would. I'm going to try black plastic this year as a weed deterrent. Hoeing is just too much for me.

Top dressing wheat too!

yeah, I am going to put some of that black fabric down this year to keep the weeds down.  My cousin did that last year and their garden went WILD!  With no weeds they had so much stuff comming out of that garden they could hardly give it away.

We are lucky that the made old RT 30 into a lesser traveled road. It will help out on traffice a great deal.

Woody was helping me dig holes for roses. I'd dig one & he jump in to finish the job.
